During the summer of 2023, I had the privilege of interning at Silvia Tcherassi, a renowned Colombian designer.
As part of this experience, I traveled with the team to Barranquilla, Colombia, the city where the brand was born. Over two and a half months, I actively contributed as an assistant during the photo shoots for the Spring 2024 collection, collaborating with highly regarded photographers to bring the vision of the brand to life.
Throughout my internship, I worked as an assistant to the PR team, gaining valuable experience in brand communication and representation.
I played a key role in preparing and sending press packages to internationally acclaimed artists, including Katy Perry, strengthening my skills in public relations and celebrity management.
This hands-on involvement allowed me to understand the strategic aspects of luxury fashion PR, from building brand awareness to maintaining strong relationships with high-profile figures.
Beyond PR, I also supported the design team, contributing to the creative process.
One of the most notable highlights was assisting in the creation of a custom dusty pink gown for one of the brand’s VIP clients.
This project showcased my ability to assist in high-profile, bespoke fashion design, emphasizing precision, artistry, and attention to detail in luxury craftsmanship.
This internship provided me with invaluable insights into the inner workings of a prestigious international fashion house.
From project coordination to creative collaboration, I developed key competencies that strengthened my ability to work in a fast-paced, high-end fashion environment.
